ingredients :

250 g wholemeal spaghetti (1/2 package)

1 bunch of broccoli

olive oil

2 tbsp (or more) grated parmesan cheese or toasted bread crumbs for lower fat options

salt and pepper to taste


  • cook the spaghetti according to the package
  • meanwhile, chopped the broccoli bite sized pieces (withe the stalk and leaves)
  • in the last 3 min of the spagetthi cooking process, throw in the broccoli into the pot
  • drain the spagetthi and the broccoli
  • drizzle with olive oil
  • season with salt and pepper
  • transfer to plates, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese
